About EPLabel Online
EPLabel online evaluates the energy performance of buildings and sites based on their actual annual energy consumption.
The EPLabel project has developed a graduated response to address the EPBD Article 7.3 requirement for Public Buildings over 1,000 m2 to display an Energy Performance Certificate prominently. The idea is that assessments can be at different levels of detail within a cohesive framework. EPLabel online demonstrates a methodology for energy benchmarking and certification of buildings in six sectors:
- Public administration offices
- Universities
- Schools
- Sports facilities
- Hospitals
- Hotels
An Excel version of EPLabel online is available from the project web site, www.eplabel.org, which also describes the project's background and philosophy.
EPLabel Online illustrates the potential for a harmonised EU approach to energy certification based on Operational (Measured) energy ratings. It is not currently designed to produce official energy certificates.
