Analysis

walkthrough4.gif The analysis of a site year compares the measured energy performance with benchmarks to get an A to G grade. The headline grade is decided by how much energy is delivered to the building from off site, the so-called Measured Energy/Emissions Rate (MER). Separate grades are also reported for the thermal and electrical energy efficiency of the building and the overall Building Energy Use (BEU) which take into account the quantity of energy supplied by renewable energy sources.

For both the MER and BEU calculations, special energy uses are taken out of the reckoning.

At the bottom of the analysis page, you can select to ‘Lock Results’. If it is the first site year to be locked for that site, then simultaneously the site description will also be locked. Sites and site years which have been locked cannot subsequently be edited.

After you have locked the results for a Site Year, the system returns to the Site page and you have the option to generate an Energy Certificate (PDF) for that Site Year."
